I AIN'T GOING NOWHERE, BABY

I looked at you and took your hand
while we were walking on the beach
A friend was taking pictures of us
on the ferris wheel

You're getting insecure about
the things you start to feel
What if the things you want to tell me
Are things I don't want to see?

It's the last day that I'm here
and you take me for a drive
Ask me where I want to go
And I've got fastfood on my mind

Who would've thought that after
all the jokes we made online
We'd be sitting at the park and
you'd want to be my wife

But I ain't going nowhere baby
'cause I'm the one that drives you crazy
So don't you let your head hang down
You've got my whole world spinning
round and round and round and round and upside down

So when you're lonely feeling cold
In the middle of the night
With no one there to hold you
and to tell you it's alright

When the tears are rolling of your face
and you can't help but cry
Think of all the things I'd say now
Just to make you smile

But I ain't going nowhere baby
'cause I'm the one that drives you crazy
So don't you let your head hang down
You've got my whole world spinning
round and round and round and round and upside down

When I've flown back to my own place
and it's starting to sink in
You'll be wondering what I'm doing
if I like what I have seen

When life goes back to normal
and it's all daily routine
I'll still be thinking of you
I'll be seeing you again

But I ain't going nowhere baby
'cause I'm the one that drives you crazy
So don't you let your head hang down
You've got my whole world spinning
round and round and round and round and upside down

I ain't going nowhere baby
'cause I'm the one that drives you crazy
So don't you let your head hang down
You've got my whole world spinning
round and round and round and round and upside down

MOTIVATION

I was lying on the bed with my girlfriend who was very afraid that once I'd come back for her in the winter everything would be over. She was so crazy in love with me (and I was with her but I'm too cool to admit this) that she feared that once we'd be back at our own place, with her being in America and me being in Europe, we'd lose interest in eachother and she just didn't want to lose what we had.

We were walking on the beach in America, and then went into a ferris wheel with a friend of us sitting in front of us taking a picture. Before we left she said she needed to tell me something about herself of which she was afraid of I wouldn't like, but once she did it was all alright. We all have our scars from experiences in the past, some deeper than others but if it's shaped you to who you are nowadays then why should I create a fuss over it? And no, I wont'say what it was, nosy bastards!

The fastfood line was me being there for another day and everyone gone, and she asking what I'd like to do. I said wanted to try out an American McDonalds after all the stories they tell you over here. We went through the McDrive, and then ate it at the park. I asked her to lie down on one of those picknick tables so we could make out (the grass was full of rabbitshit, it's the attention to detail that does it in this story). She was nervous and I had to convince her a bit, still had to win her trust. We talked about marriage and both agreed that if it'd be this good after a while we both knew we'd want to be together forever.

EXPLANATION

"I looked at you and took your hand when we were walking on the beach" refers to us going to the Jersey shore, and walking on the beach together, getting our picture taken, with her being insecure that it was all too good to be true.

"A friend was taking pictures of us on the ferris wheel" refers to... well you get it. We wanted a picture of the both of us together, so several pictures were taken.

"You're getting insecure about the things you start to feel"
refers to her telling me she needed to open up about something before we could actually go on like this.

"The first time that I saw her you was drinking on your porch"
refers to her mom and dad picked me up from the trainstation and the first time I saw her she was having a beer on the porch.

"I've got fastfood on my mind" refers to me wanting to have some food from an American McDonalds as the story between my friends used to go that while McDonald's over here was crap, in America it was actually a lot better. All nonsense, I must say.
