I've made an insane amount of drawings. As a kid, I'd do about 3 drawings a day, then later on 1 per week, and then once I went to graphic school and computers were allowed in our household pretty much nothing apart from the assignments from school.

After a few years graphic school focussed solely on graphic design on a computer, and any 16 year-old with a computer in his room would much rather play games on his computer than sit there doing other things.

It was once I'd left graphic school and started at teaching school to become an art teacher that I slowly picked up the craft again and started working on new ideas. Although I've learned how to paint as well I rarely do it, most of my work still consists of drawings either made by a pen or a pencil.
