By 2009 I'd done a lot of drawing, painting, sketching but it'd actually been some time since I'd drawn a truck. Some people would find that hard to believe, but once you've drawn close to every truck imaginable at a certain age you'll have to do other things in order to improve your own skills. I'd become a better artist over the years and my drawing skills had certainly improved. I decided it was time to go back to my roots, so to speak.
